Tesla released an update to its iOS app today, introducing several new features aimed at improving convenience and functionality for users.
One of the standout changes is the ability to execute commands offline when near the vehicle. This feature, which requires the vehicle to run software version 2024.38 or later, allows users to perform actions such as locking the car or opening the charge port without needing an internet connection.

The update also leverages iOS 18’s Control Center functionality, enabling users to add favorite Tesla commands—like Lock, Climate Control, Charge Port, Frunk, Flash, Honk, and even Tesla’s fun Fart mode—for quick access. It would have been nice to have a toggle for the rear trunk.
You can add Tesla toggles to Control Center on the iPhone by swiping down from the top right, then tapping and holding a blank spot to bring up the edit screen, then tap ‘Add a Control’ and then scroll down to ‘Tesla’.
Meanwhile, Tesla’s Android app has not received an update since September 27, 2024.
