Starlink Reaches Over 4 Million Users Across 100+ Countries

SpaceX’s Starlink now provides high-speed satellite internet connectivity to more than 4 million people worldwide, spanning over 100 countries, territories, and various markets. That’s some incredible growth.

The announcement was made on Thursday by SpaceX. The service has grown rapidly, extending its reach across all seven continents, including remote areas and open ocean regions.

Back in May, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced Starlink had passed 3 million customers in 99 countries. Fast forward four mounths, and now we have seen another 1 million added. That’s some phenomenal growth.

SpaceX continues to share Starlink stories and how the satellite internet service is changing lives.

For example, in the Brazilian Amazon, Starlink has made a significant impact on the Itaquera community, a remote settlement along a tributary of the Rio Negro.

Previously cut off from modern communication due to a lack of infrastructure, the community now has reliable internet access, allowing them to stay connected, seek help in emergencies, and access online educational resources. This newfound connectivity has facilitated learning, collaboration, and growth, helping transform the once-isolated community.

Starlink is a major game changer and there’s over 6,000 satellites roaming in low-Earth orbit. No other service has been able to match its fast rate or progress since SpaceX is vertically integrated, being able to launch its own satellites into space at a rapid rate.
