Tesla is offering its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package at a discounted price of $4,500 for select inventory vehicles, as part of a limited-time promotion in some locations, according to @Tslachan.
This move comes as Tesla looks to clear inventory towards the end of the quarter, with experts noting that this period is often favorable for vehicle purchases.
The current offer represents a significant price drop for the FSD package, which has seen various price adjustments over the years. A historical overview of FSD pricing reveals its initial price of $3,000 in October 2016, followed by steady increases. The price reached $15,000 in September 2022 before dropping to $12,000 a year later, and now to $4,500 for eligible vehicles as of September 2024.
This offer applies only to certain inventory vehicles, and availability may vary by location. Buyers are advised to check which vehicles qualify under this promotion.
As with many Tesla offers, this is a “your mileage may vary” type of deal, meaning potential buyers should confirm details based on their specific location.
