Rimac Nevera R EV Supercar Revealed, Goes 0-60 in 1.74s
Rimac has introduced the Nevera R, a more focused and powerful version of its record-breaking all-electric hypercar.
The Nevera R, equipped with next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring and advanced braking systems, delivers 2,107 horsepower and is designed for both straight-line speed and cornering precision.
The car reaches 300 km/h (186 mph) in just 8.66 seconds, surpassing the performance of the original Nevera. The car can do a 1/4 mile in 8.23 seconds.
CEO Mate Rimac explained that the Nevera R was developed in response to customer demand for a car that emphasizes cornering ability while retaining the core attributes of the original Nevera. The vehicle features a lighter and more performance-oriented battery system, advanced brakes, and a design that enhances both aerodynamics and visual appeal.
The Nevera R boasts a top speed of 412 km/h (256 mph) and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds. Rimac’s engineers also fine-tuned the car’s traction control, steering, and drift mode to optimize handling and driver feedback.
In comparison, Tesla’s Model S Plaid can go 0-60mph in 1.99 seconds, but at a price of $89,990 USD, at just 3.6% the cost of the Nevera R. Tesla–will the new Roadster please stand up soon?
With a limited production run of only 40 units, the Nevera R will be available in a new Nebula green color scheme, with customizable interior options to match.
Now as for pricing? The Nevera R starts at 2.3 million euro, or about $2.5 million USD. Time to open your wallets, folks.
