The update aims to enhance fleet management by providing more detailed insights into vehicle performance and cost efficiency.
According to Tesla’s website, the company promotes its vehicles as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly option for businesses. There are also specific benefits for drivers, who can charge their cars using Tesla’s global Supercharging network and access services such as Roadside Assistance, Mobile Service, and remote diagnostics. Employees may also qualify for perks like carpool, toll, and parking benefits.
For communities, Tesla emphasizes the environmental advantages of its vehicles, stating that one Tesla can prevent 51 tons of CO2 emissions over its lifetime, equivalent to over 220,000 kilometers of driving a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. The company also highlights the safety features built into its vehicles, designed to protect drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
Tesla’s fleet management software offers businesses a centralized platform to manage and monitor their fleets. This includes tracking new vehicle orders, managing driver access, and paying for Supercharging and other services.
Real-time data access through Tesla’s Fleet API allows businesses to monitor energy consumption, tire pressure, and charge levels. Tesla also offers options for businesses to install their own charging infrastructure, such as Wall Connectors or Superchargers, to reduce vehicle downtime.
