Tesla 2024.26 Summer Software Update Rolling Out Soon
Tesla is set to release its software update 2024.26, bringing several new features and enhancements to its vehicles. The company has now detailed a wider rollout is happening soon, sharing some more screenshots of the newest features. We first saw 2024.26 start rolling out in early July.
The update introduces native apps for Amazon Music and YouTube Music, allowing users to stream music directly from their Tesla infotainment system.
Castle Doombad Classic, a popular game, now supports touch functionality and includes the complete original game. The release also features updates for Polytopia Elyrion and Vampire Survivors’ “Laborratory.”
Parental controls have been enhanced, enabling parents to set a maximum speed limit, reduce acceleration, enforce active safety settings, and receive curfew notifications if the car is driven past 11 p.m.
Navigation improvements include displaying sub-destinations, such as specific airport terminals, for more precise routing. This is pretty specific and will surely be helpful for Tesla’s future Robotaxi plans.
Weather forecast details and air quality indicators can now be viewed by tapping the temperature display.
Scheduled preconditioning and charging have a one-time schedule option, allowing adjustments per day and setting a charge end time.
A new brightness slider for ambient lighting has been added, and fan speed is automatically reduced during phone calls to improve audio quality.
Climate controls for Model 3 and Y have been revamped for a more intuitive and visually streamlined experience.
Zoom video conferencing will now default to full screen when the car is in Park, and TeslaMic support is available in the U.S., enhancing the Caraoke feature. Previously, TeslaMic was only available in China.
