2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance Now Available to Order
Tesla has finally launched the latest iteration of the Model 3 Performance (based on its ‘Highland’ update), promising an exhilarating blend of power, responsiveness, and luxury for a starting price of $40,490 USD, after federal tax credits and estimated gas savings.
This new model brings a series of upgrades designed for those who want the fastest Model 3 possible, with a 0-60mph time of 2.9 seconds. There’s also Track Mode V3 coming!
We’ve seen leaked photos of the Model 3 Performance with its “Ludicrous” badging, and now we get official photos and information from Tesla. Expect an embargo to be lifted on first reviews either today or tomorrow.
The Model 3 Performance now boasts the following advanced features:
- Peak Power of 510hp: The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 163 mph, powered by the latest generation Performance drive unit.
- Ultra-Responsive Handling: An all-new adaptive damping system ensures the car remains stable and responsive on the road, adapting to varying speeds and conditions for optimal control.
- Advanced Track Mode: This feature allows drivers to customize the adaptive suspension, chassis, and powertrain controls for a tailored track driving experience, enhancing handling balance, stability control, and regenerative braking.
- Improved Aerodynamics: Updates include redesigned front and rear fascias, a rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber spoiler to reduce drag and improve lift balance at high speeds.
- Forged Performance Wheels: These lightweight, staggered wheels are designed for better traction and sharper turn-in response, optimizing both comfort and range.
- Performance Brakes and Chassis: Upgraded brake rotors, calipers, and performance brake pads, along with performance springs, dampers, bushings, and stabilizer bars, deliver stronger stopping power and a more capable chassis.
- Ventilated Sport Seats and Carbon Fiber Details: New sport seats feature enhanced bolstering for a deeper, more engaging driving position, complemented by lightweight carbon fiber decor throughout the cabin.
You still get the same immersive sound system with 17 speakers, dual subwoofers, and dual amplifiers. The 15.4″ center touchscreen is paired with an 8″ rear touchscreen, offering rear passengers independent access to climate controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and entertainment.
The Model 3 Performance also maintains impressive specifications with a long-range battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 296 miles, dual motor all-wheel drive, and substantial cargo space of 24 cubic feet.
