Tesla Diner Construction Update: Drainage, Interior Preparations [VIDEO]
Recent aerial drone footage has provided an up-close look at the ongoing construction activities at the Tesla Diner site in Hollywood, California, revealing significant advancements in the project’s development.
The construction team has excavated a rectangular section around 5 feet deep, now undergoing a layering process with gravel and a plastic barrier, a method commonly employed for water runoff control and effective drainage. This foundational work is a crucial step towards ensuring the longevity and durability of the structure.
Around the site, stacks of sheetrock have been observed, suggesting that efforts are gearing towards the interior finishing stages of the diner. This material is essential for constructing the walls and ceilings, indicating a move towards the more detailed phases of the project’s completion.
Moreover, a power shed has been notably constructed with a newly added roof. However, it remains pending the installation of transformers or batteries, hinting at future steps to secure the diner’s energy needs.
The first floor of the Tesla Diner is beginning to reveal its aesthetic and structural characteristics, with varying surface treatments visible on the walls. The application of a waterproofing sealer on both upper and lower facades points towards preparations for stucco finishing, a technique known for its durability and aesthetic appeal. Additionally, metal stringers placed vertically every 2 feet along the main building’s walls indicate plans to utilize durable composite paneling, ensuring a robust and long-lasting exterior for the diner.
As construction progresses, these developments mark a significant milestone towards the completion of the Tesla Diner, reflecting a blend of meticulous planning and advanced building techniques aimed at creating a standout establishment in Hollywood.
