2024.2.11 Release Notes: New Tesla Autopark Coming

2024 2 autopark

Tesla has started releasing its 2024.2.11 software update and release notes show a new version of Autopark is coming, according to Not a Tesla App.

This version of Autopark is for vehicles with Tesla Vision, which relies solely on cameras and have no ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers. It is a new and improved version of Autopark that is rolling out, but according to posts on X, it seems to have hit employee vehicles first, for now. Think of this release as High-Fidelity Park Assist but now an Autopark version for cars without ultrasonic sensors.

Below are the release notes that detail Autopark (requires Enhanced Autopilot or Full Self-Driving add-on):

Autopark

Your vehicle can now automatically park — and parallel park — in designated spaces.

When you’re driving at low speed, your display highlights potential parking spaces. Autopark shows a circular P symbol to suggest a space, but you can choose any highlighted space.

To start parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and release the steering wheel so it can move freely. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for more detail.

As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action including canceling Autopark.

Last week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk teased, “major improvements for Summon & Banish (Autopark) next month.” Meanwhile, customers are still waiting for Actual Smart Summon to debut as well.

Third-party companion app, Teslascope, notes this new version of Autopark has yet to reach customer vehicles, according to its database. Stay tuned as this new version of Autopark should eventually hit customers and then we can finally see the feature in action.
