
Tesla has started rolling out its 2024.8 software update and now we have release notes, courtesy of Not a Tesla App.
Some new features include One-Time Charge Limit which is handy for road trips, plus the roll out of Adaptive High Beams for vehicles with matrix headlights. One improvement we’re excited for is a classic turn signal icon, now easier to see at a glance.

One-Time Charge Limit
- Available Worldwide for models S, 3, X, Y
- Suitable for road trips with One-Time Charge option
- Activates when Charge Limit is set above daily recommendation
- Automatically returns to daily Charge Limit afterward
Danger Zones on Your Route
- Availability in Canada unknown, for models S, 3, X, Y
- Navigation includes symbols for danger zones
- Requires Navigation > Online Routing and Premium Connectivity
Adaptive High Beams
- Not relevant in Canada, for new S, 3, new X, Y models
- High beams adapt to reduce glare for others
- Detects road users, dims individual pixels for enhanced night visibility
- Activate in vehicle settings: Lights > Adaptive High Beams

Security Improvements
- Available Worldwide for models S, 3, X, Y
- Update includes significant security fixes and enhancements
Turn Signals

- Available Worldwide for models 3, Y
- Turn signal icons redesigned for easier visibility
New WiFi Menu
- Available Worldwide, undocumented, for models 3, Y
- Enhanced WiFi menu under Controls > WLAN (WiFi)
- Replaces old dialog box, includes status icons for quick connectivity checks
New Bluetooth Menu
- Available Worldwide, undocumented, for models 3, Y
- Bluetooth menu relocated to Controls > Bluetooth
- Vertical scrolling for additional options, including WiFi, Bluetooth, and Upgrades
- Bluetooth status icon maintained for quick access and information
