Tesla FSD Subscriptions for Canada Might Be Coming Soon
Tesla currently offers its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta monthly subscription only in the U.S., but the program might finally be landing up north in Canada.
That’s according to a reply from Rohan Patel, Tesla’s Vice President, Public Policy and Business Development, to a question posed by @Teslascope on Monday afternoon.
“Asking on behalf of Canadian vehicle owners: is there anything legally preventing Tesla from making Full Self-Driving capability subscriptions available in the region?”, asked @Teslascope.
That’s when Patel replied, “Looking into this one now. Unless there are legal or other blockers I don’t know about, we’ll get this done.”
Earlier in the conversation, Patel said, “Tesla ❤️ Canada. Much bigger manufacturing, engineering and supply chain investments up north than most know. And our Canadian owners are super enthusiastic in helping advance the mission.”
FSD beta subscriptions are priced at $200 USD per month in the US. Equivalent pricing in Canadian will likely be $270 CAD after exchange rates or just under $300 CAD.
Patel also said he would be looking into annual Premium Connectivity for Canada as well.
Currently, Tesla has rolled out FSD beta version 12 to beta testers.
