Tesla has updated its reservation policy for the highly anticipated Cybertruck, increasing the reservation fee to $250 USD, up from $100 USD (via @SawyerMerritt). This change reflects the company’s adjustment in strategy as it nears the Cybertruck delivery event pegged for this Thursday.
Prospective buyers looking to secure a Cybertruck are now required to pay a $250 fee, which Tesla emphasizes is fully refundable. This move comes as Tesla prepares to finalize configurations and commence production of the Cybertruck.
Tesla has streamlined the reservation process, offering options to order with Apple Pay or a credit card. Additionally, the company assures customers that their payment information will be securely saved for future transactions, in accordance with Tesla’s Payment Terms for Services.
