Tesla Includes Free Tire Repair Kit with Some 2024 Model 3 Deliveries
Tesla is now providing a complimentary tire repair kit with some of its new 2024 Model 3 vehicles, according to a Reddit user based in Dubai, UAE.
The kit aims to offer a temporary solution for flat tires, potentially reducing the company’s costs associated with roadside assistance for such issues.
The Reddit user, identified as u/Usef89, stated, “I just received mine and it had one in the trunk.” The new 2024 Model 3 owner noted previous generation Model 3 deliveries in Dubai did not include the free tire kit, which costs $70 USD from Tesla.
Another user commented, “They most likely realized the cost of roadside assistance for flats they were paying exceeded the cost of putting a pump in each car delivered.”
The tire repair kit includes an air compressor, a one-piece sealant canister, an inflation needle, a tapered nozzle, and a Tesla-branded storage bag. The kit’s SENSOR safety system electronically ensures a secure connection between the hose and valve to prevent accidental misuse.
The kit is designed for temporary fixes and should not replace a visit to a tire specialist. It is advised to not drive more than 186 miles (300 km) on a repaired tire and to replace the damaged tire and TPMS sensor as soon as possible. These replacement parts are not covered under Tesla’s vehicle warranty.
We haven’t heard of Tesla including the free tire repair kit in other countries, so this may be region specific or a one-off for this particular customer.
