Historical Context
The new pricing structure was initially spotted by Sawyer Merritt and marks a notable drop from rates earlier this year. In January, Tesla had set the starting lease price for the Model 3 at $399 per month. The latest adjustments make these electric vehicles more accessible to potential lessees.
The reduced lease pricing is part of Tesla’s ongoing efforts to make electric vehicles more affordable and to increase adoption rates. The new rates are effective immediately and apply to leases with a 36-month term, and look to increase sales for Tesla’s current fourth quarter push.
