Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Wednesday that all Tesla Superchargers in Israel will be free of charge for owners. The decision comes in the wake of Israel declaring war on Hamas following a surprise attack by the designated terrorist group that supports a free Palestine.
It’s unclear how long Tesla Superchargers will be free in Israel. The move is expected to provide some relief to Tesla owners in Israel during a time of heightened tension and conflict.
Musk added in response to a reply, “I hope that electricity and essential services are rapidly restored to Gaza.”
Free Supercharging in Israel was spotted on Tuesday evening, when owners noticed charging fees were noted at $0.00 in the Tesla mobile app within the nation. Idle fees appear to remain.
