Tesla Denmark Hits Milestone with Over 50,000 Vehicles
Kim Gaba Jensen, Regional Lead at Tesla, announced on September 26, 2023, that Tesla has reached a significant milestone in Denmark.
The number of Tesla vehicles on Danish roads has surpassed 50,000, accounting for nearly 2% of all vehicles in the country.
When Jensen joined Tesla in 2018, Denmark had just over 4,000 Tesla vehicles. By the end of 2020, that number had tripled to above 12,000, following a strong year-end performance. Now, less than three years later, the number has more than quadrupled to over 50,000, highlighting the rapid adoption of Tesla vehicles in Denmark.
Of the 50,000 Tesla vehicles in Denmark, 20,000 are Model Y, indicating the model’s popularity among Danish consumers.
Jensen extended his gratitude to the Danish Tesla team and the Tesla owners in Denmark for achieving this milestone. The registration numbers were sourced from Bilstatistik.dk.
However, according to Tesla production and deliveries tracker, Roland Pircher, he says, “According to my data there should be about 20k not registered in Denmark in the first place, but imported from other countries like Germany.”
The achievement underscores Tesla’s growing footprint in Denmark and potentially sets the stage for further expansion in the European market.
