Tesla North America announced that all Hertz rentals in the United States will now offer full access to the Tesla app.
This enables renters to use features such as keyless entry, remote cabin preconditioning, and charge tracking. Additionally, if renters have enabled cloud profiles in their personal Tesla vehicles, those settings will automatically transfer to the Hertz rental.
Renters can use the Tesla app to lock and unlock the vehicle, precondition the cabin, and monitor the car’s charging status.
For those who own a Tesla and have enabled cloud profiles, their personalized settings will automatically be applied to the Hertz rental vehicle.

Hertz provides information on charging and access to 40,000 charging locations across the U.S., making it convenient for both experienced and first-time electric vehicle (EV) users.
The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, available for rent, come equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen that controls everything from climate to navigation. The cars also feature Tesla’s Autopilot, a semi-autonomous technology that assists with lane positioning, acceleration, and braking.
Tesla rentals through Hertz are available in multiple cities, including Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Washington D.C., Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, New York, and more.
