Tesla announced on September 15, 2023, that it is adding tram tours of its factories in Fremont, California, and Austin, Texas, to its referral program. The tours can be redeemed using referral credits, but travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by the company.
The offer is limited to one tour per Tesla account, and the account holder must be at least 18 years old to redeem the tour. Once redeemed, Tesla will contact the account holder within five business days to provide further details. The redemption includes admission for the account holder and up to three guests, all of whom must be at least 8 years old.

“Travel and accommodation are not included. If you miss your chance to claim, check back later-additional tours will be added,” said Tesla.
Tesla has imposed strict media restrictions for attendees, prohibiting photography and video recording during the tours. The company has also indicated that additional tours will be added in the future for those who miss the initial opportunity.
At one point, the Fremont factory tour in California used to be free, but alas, that is no longer the case.
The new offering is seen as a way to engage Tesla’s customer base and also as an incentive to refer more friends and family to Tesla vehicle purchases.
