Tesla has unveiled a new incentive for homeowners looking to enhance their energy independence in Australia.
The company is offering a $750 rebate for each Powerwall, their rechargeable home battery system, installed between 11 August 2023 and 31 December 2023. This system allows homeowners to store solar energy for nighttime use and ensures power continuity even when the grid fails.
The Powerwall, designed to maximize a home’s energy independence, can be installed singularly or in multiples. Once the Powerwall is installed, connected to the internet, and registered, customers will receive a notification via the Tesla app to submit their rebate request. Upon verification, Tesla will transfer the rebate amount directly to the customer’s nominated bank account.

However, all rebate requests must be completed by 31 January 2024. Once the request is submitted, the rebate will be processed and sent within 60 days.
It’s important to note that installations occurring after 31 December 2023 will not be eligible for the rebate. Additionally, the Powerwall must be registered and connected to the internet by the end of 2023 to qualify.
