Tesla China has announced it has launched a time-limited Full Self-Driving (FSD) transfer policy.
While Tesla has not launched FSD in China yet, the company still lets customers purchase the software at 64,000 RMB ($8,900 USD), while Enhanced Autopilot is also available at 32,000 RMB (via @Tslachan). Only FSD is allowed to be transferred to a new vehicle.
Tesla China says if existing owners order a new Tesla vehicle, they will be able to transfer over FSD to the new car. This is similar to Tesla’s one-time FSD transfer for owners, one available in Q3.
The automaker says you need to take delivery by September 30, 2023 of your new vehicle. The promo starts on July 21, 2023.
“Get in the car and experience smart travel with Tesla!” said the automaker.
It’s unclear when Tesla will launch FSD in China. Back in April, a report from Caixin claimed Tesla was about to debut a large test of FSD in the nation, but nothing has materialized. For now, FSD remains only available in Canada and the USA.
