Tesla’s Cybertruck Will Fit into a Garage With its 6-Ft Bed and More

Tesla shared some more details about its Cybertruck that’s currently in the “tooling” stage at Giga Texas. We know that Tesla has already built the first Cybertruck at Giga Texas, but now we have some more tidbits shared by the automaker.

Tesla’s Q2 shareholder slide deck detailed the following about Cybertruck:

“We are now testing Cybertruck vehicles around the world for final certification and validation. This might be the most unique vehicle product in decades; with that comes trialing and testing new technologies,” said Tesla.

“As far as we know, Cybertruck will be the first sub-19 ft. truck (fitting into a garage) that has both four doors and 6+ ft. bed. Both technologically and architecturally, this vehicle will break a lot of boundaries – very much in line with how we think about vehicle engineering and manufacturing.”

On the Q2 earnings call, Musk added, “This is the first truck that we’re aware of that will have four doors over a six foot bed and will fit into a 20-foot garage. So, it’s sort of biggest on the outside, but it’s even bigger on the inside. So it’s — I think that’s a — one of the elements of good design is it should feel bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside.”

“And this is no small car, but we really cared about the exterior dimensions of the Cybertruck down to the last millimeter. So just — we try to get right in the middle of the Goldilocks zone, not too big, not too small and then really maximize the utility of the volume. And we can’t wait to start delivering it later this year,” said Musk.

Gosh, we can’t wait to see the final build of Tesla’s Cybertruck hit the roads.
