Tesla announced on Wednesday it has reached a new milestone at its Giga Shanghai factory in China.
The efficient and productive Giga Shanghai has made its 1 millionth Model Y electric compact SUV. An image shared by @ChrisZheng001 shows Tesla employees surrounding a Model Y, while a battery celebrates the 1 million milestone. Employees are making the letter ’T’ with their arms, while on the ground it also notes the 1 million mark for Model Y production at Giga Shanghai.
Tesla’s Giga Shanghai factory accounted for nearly half of its recent Q2 production and deliveries. The factory can make up to 1 million Model 3 and Model Y vehicles annually. Back in August 2022, the factory made its 1 millionth vehicle.
