Tesla Had Strong Deliveries in Europe and Asia for Q2

Tesla reported a new production record of 479,700 and record deliveries of 466,140 for Q2 2023. The growth in deliveries is 10% quarter-over-quarter and 83% year-over-year. The Tesla fleet has now reached 4.5 million cars, according to the company.

In terms of Q2 Tesla deliveries broken down by country in Europe and Asia, Roland Pircher has again provided some detailed stats and charts. Check out the summary of his details below:

Iceland

Iceland reported 425 Tesla sales in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 15% increase compared to last month. This resulted in the best quarter ever with a 43% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 341% compared to the same period last year, reaching 120% of last year’s total.

Portugal

In Portugal, 867 Tesla sales were reported in June. Despite being the 4th best month ever, there was a slight decrease of 1% compared to last month. The second-best quarter so far saw a 4% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by a staggering 449% compared to the same period last year, reaching 157% of last year’s total.

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic reported 171 Tesla sales in June, tying with last month for the best month ever. The best quarter ever saw a 73% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by a whopping 693% compared to the same period last year, reaching 258% of last year’s total.

Sweden

In Sweden, 3,034 Tesla sales were reported in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 24% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 33% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 208% compared to the same period last year, reaching 151% of last year’s total.

Austria

Austria reported 927 Tesla sales in June, marking the 5th best month ever with a 9% increase compared to last month. The second-best quarter ever saw a 20% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by 106% compared to the same period last year, reaching 90% of last year’s total.

Finland

In Finland, 899 Tesla sales were reported in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 69% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 25% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 370% compared to the same period last year, reaching 177% of last year’s total.

Norway

Norway reported 3,450 Tesla sales in June, marking the 10th best month ever with a 17% increase compared to last month. The 4th best quarter ever saw a 22% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by 108% compared to the same period last year, reaching 79% of last year’s total.

France

In France, 8,516 Tesla sales were reported in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 112% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 12% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 132% compared to the same period last year, reaching 93% of last year’s total.

Denmark

Denmark reported 2,827 Tesla sales in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 98% increase compared to last month. The second-best quarter ever saw a 1% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by 676% compared to the same period last year, reaching 346%of last year’s total.

Netherlands

In the Netherlands, 2,618 Tesla sales were reported in June, marking the 7th best month ever with a 107% increase compared to last month. The 3rd best quarter ever saw a 4% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 737% compared to the same period last year, reaching 188% of last year’s total.

Ireland

Ireland reported 1,039 Tesla sales and a 35% market share in June. Tesla was the best-selling brand, and Model Y was the best-selling model. The best month ever saw a 348% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 121% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 220% compared to the same period last year, reaching 165% of last year’s total.

Italy

Italy reported 1,751 Tesla sales in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 19% increase compared to last month. The second-best quarter ever saw a 13% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by 234% compared to the same period last year, reaching 152% of last year’s total.

Belgium

In Belgium, 1,868 Tesla sales and a 3.6% market share were reported in June. The second-best month ever saw an 88% increase compared to last month. The second-best quarter ever saw a 16% decrease quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have increased by 269% compared to the same period last year, reaching 171% of last year’s total.

Israel

Israel reported 1,435 Tesla sales in June, marking the 4th best month ever with a 240% increase compared to last month. The 3rd best quarter ever saw a 41% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 63% compared to the same period last year, reaching 55% of last year’s total.

Spain

Spain reported 1,752 Tesla sales and a 1.7% market share in June. The best month ever saw a 51% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 56% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 148% compared to the same period last year, reaching 115% of last year’s total.

Thailand

Thailand reported 1,225 Tesla sales in June, marking the second-best month ever with a 14% increase compared to last month. The best quarter ever saw a 25% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by a staggering 2,326% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1,207% of last year’s total.

China

In China, 17.4k Tesla insurance registrations were reported for the week of 26 June to 2 July. This is the best week of the quarter and ends Q2 with a new record. With 93,680 units for domestic sales and export, June is at +21% MoM and the quarter shapes up at 247,217 with 8% QoQ growth.

Taiwan

Taiwan reported 2,296 Tesla sales in June, marking the 3rd best month ever with a 75% increase compared to last month. The second-best quarter ever saw a 34% increase quarter-over-quarter. Year-to-date sales have increased by 60% compared to the same period last year, reaching 63% of last year’s total.

South Korea

South Korea reported 1,891 Tesla sales in June, marking the 13th best month ever with a 346% increase compared to last month. The 10th-best quarter ever saw an 87% increase quarter-over-quarter. However, year-to-date sales have decreased by 45% compared to the same period last year, reaching 26% of last year’s total.

In various countries, Tesla sales have seen remarkable growth. Countries like the Czech Republic and Thailand have seen year-to-date sales increase by 693% and 2,326% respectively compared to the same period last year. Even in countries where sales have decreased, such as South Korea, Tesla still maintains a significant presence.

The data indicates that Tesla’s market share is expanding globally, with the company becoming the best-selling brand in some countries like Ireland. The Model Y has also emerged as the best-selling model in some markets.
