Tesla Launches Existing Inventory Sales in China

In a significant move to enhance customer experience, Tesla China has begun showcasing its inventory vehicles on its official website, according to @Tslachan.

Previously, potential buyers in China were unable to view the inventory vehicles through the dedicated page on Tesla’s website. This new feature marks a significant shift in Tesla’s online presence in the country, making the car buying process more transparent and accessible for customers.

Other markets such as Canada and the U.S. have existing inventory available, allowing prospective owners to purchase a vehicle immediately instead of waiting for delivery. Right now, Tesla is offering some big discounts on its existing inventory in Canada and the U.S. as part of an end of quarter push.

Currently, existing inventory in China is only available for the Model S, Model 3, and Model X. The Model Y is not yet available as of writing. The Model 3 are currently limited to the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) for existing inventory in China.

This update from Tesla China is seen as a strategic move to further engage with its customer base and streamline the car buying process. The company continues to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of its customers in the Chinese market.
