Tesla Loaners Now Show Up in App for Europe

Tesla has announced its mobile app is going to improve customer service experience with a new capability. The new feature, which was initially available for warranty repairs in April 2022, has now been extended to regular service as well it seems.

If a Tesla owner’s vehicle requires service and they receive a loaner vehicle, the loaner will now appear in their Tesla app. This seamless integration is designed to provide a hassle-free experience for customers who need to use a loaner vehicle while their own car is being serviced.

The company’s ‘Tesla Profile’ feature offers saved settings of your car’s profile in the cloud. This means a driver’s settings and preferences will now travel with them to any supported loaner vehicles.

Tesla drivers will no longer have to adjust settings such as seat position, mirror angles, or preferred driving mode each time they switch cars. Instead, these preferences will be automatically applied to any loaner vehicle they use, providing a personalized driving experience no matter which Tesla they are driving.

To set up a Tesla Profile, owners need to navigate to the Driver Profile settings in their own vehicle and select their Tesla account name. This simple one-time setup will ensure their preferences are saved and can be applied to any supported loaner vehicle they use in the future.

This announcement was made via Tesla’s European Twitter account on May 17, and has been welcomed by Tesla owners who appreciate the company’s continuous efforts to enhance the user experience.
