Tesla updated the specs of the Model Y Performance in Canada this weekend, lowering its range and also limiting color options for the interior.
The EPA-estimated range for the Performance has dropped to 459 km, down from 488 km previously. While the price remains at $76,290, the upgrade option for a white interior has also disappeared. The 250 km/h top speed and 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds remains unchanged.
It’s unclear why Tesla has made these changes, but as of writing, the Natural Resources Canada website still lists the range for the Model Y Performance at 488 km. But this info may be updated once Monday rolls around (federal government workers don’t work weekends it seems).

Tesla recently brought back its Model Y RWD at $59,990 CAD, qualifying the latter and the Long Range for the federal iZEV rebate of $5,000, plus applicable provincial rebates. This Model Y RWD has been rumored to be coming from Gigafactory Shanghai, and with these tweaks to the Model Y Performance, could Tesla be shifting more Model Y production for Canada to China?
