Tesla is set to open a 50,000-square-foot fulfillment and service center in Westbury, New York, as reported by Long Island Business News (via Reddit), earlier this summer.

The center is set to be located in a former Toys R Us building, located at the Roosevelt Raceway Center at 1350 Corporate Drive. Although the space has been empty for over four years, Tesla plans to create a combination showroom and service center.

The Tesla service center and showroom is set to open later this year, marking the automaker’s fourth location in the Long Island region.

Other tenants of the area include Home Depot, Michael’s, Food Bazaar, PGA Superstore and more, and Tesla’s addition will bring the complex up to a 96-percent capacity.

The news comes ahead of Lucid Motors’ plans to open a service center in nearby Plainview, set to open early next year.

It also comes just a few weeks after New York decided to ban new gas car sales by 2035, following in the footsteps of California which also banned the practice.
