Lucid Motors Q3 2022: 2,282 Cars Produced, More than Triple Q2

Lucid Motors announced its Q3 2022 production numbers on Wednesday, saying it produced 2,282 electric vehicles, which is “more than triple Q2 production,” at its factory in Arizona, while delivering 1,398 cars in Q3.
According to the company, these production numbers are in line with company expectations. Lucid says it is on track to produce 6,000 to 7,000 cars for the full year in 2022, as it previously provided in guidance.
Lucid is set to host its Q3 earnings call on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 2:30pm PT/5:30pm ET.
On Wednesday, Lucid Motors CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson discussed the benefits of focusing on EV efficiency as a means to accelerate the widespread adoption of electric vehicles at the New York Times Climate Change Conference, which you can check out below.
Rawlinson was on a panel with Linda Zhang, Chief Engineer, Electric F-150 Lightning, Ford. The first question asked about why Lucid was having so difficulty in producing cars. Rawlinson blamed supply challenges and said he was in the factory on the shop floor to help ramp up production. “I’m very confident we’re going to nail this,” said Rawlinson.
