Tesla has started rolling out its 2022.28.2 software update, which includes a major feature for navigation in the form of Alternate Routes.
We first heard of Alternate Routes for 2022.28.1, offering Tesla owners the ability to choose from multiple routes when heading to a destination.
“View up to three routes when navigating to a destination. Quickly compare the total travel time and traffic information for each route,” explains Tesla. The Alternate Routes feature requires Premium Connectivity as the latter offers real-time traffic data.
So far, we’re seeing Alternate Routes available in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Other features in 2022.28.2 include Theater Mode improvements, specifically the ability to minimize your video player and access vehicle controls.
Tesla Arcade titles Sonic, Cupped and Cat Quest also get game controller support through the USB port in the glovebox.
