Tesla Cybertruck Joins Autopilot Team at CVRP in New Orleans
Tesla’s Director of Autopilot Software, Ashok Elluswamy, shared on Tuesday the company’s Autopilot team is at the IEEE / CVF Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR) this year in New Orleans.
“The Tesla Autopilot team is at CVPR this year! If you are in New Orleans, do stop by the booth, talk to the engineers & checkout the [Cybertruck],” said Elluswamy this morning.
CVPR “is the premier annual computer vision event comprising the main conference and several co-located workshops and short courses. With its high quality and low cost, it provides an exceptional value for students, academics and industry researchers.” For 2022, the hybrid conference is offering both in-person and virtual attendance.

On Monday, Elluswamy was a speaker at the CVPR 2022 Workshop on Autonomous Driving, which “aims to gather researchers and engineers from academia and industry to discuss the latest advances in perception for autonomous driving.”
The Tesla director said on Tuesday his talk from the workshop will be available soon for all. “I believe the organizers are working on releasing it soon,” said Elluswamy, who has worked at Tesla since 2016 on Autopilot.
