Tesla Aiming to Have Same-Day Car Servicing for 66% of Customers in North America

According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Tesla is working on improving the company’s servicing for vehicles in North America, to ensure same-day service for 66% of cars.
“Working on Tesla North American service. Goal is 2/3 of cars receive same-day service, no wait,” said Musk on Saturday.

Tesla customers currently can take their vehicles to service centers for issues or have a mobile ranger visit their home. According to Musk, improving service to same-day means customers will get their car back without needing to wait a day.
In order to achieve this, it appears Tesla will be hiring more hourly workers. Musk reiterated on Saturday, “total headcount will increase, but salaried should be fairly flat.”
Earlier this week, an internal email sent out by Musk said the company would be cutting 10% of its salaried workforce, but also increasing the number of hourly workers.
