SpaceX Starlink for RVs Now Available
SpaceX on Monday officially unveiled Starlink for RVs, an expansion of its satellite internet service for those travelling in their recreational vehicles (RVs).
“Starlink for RVs is ideal for customers travelling to locations where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable,” explains SpaceX.
“Users can expect high speed, low latency internet in areas marked “Available”, and notably slower speeds during hours of peak usage in areas marked as “Waitlist” or during events with many collocated users,” details the Starlink for RVs website.
SpaceX says Starlink for RVs is “not designed for use while in motion,” so that means you can’t play your PS5 online while driving.

The service allows the ability to pause and un-pause service at any time, while billing takes place at one-month increments, allowing for customization based on a user’s travel needs.
SpaceX says Starlink for RVs “ships immediately and arrives with everything you need to get online in a matter of minutes.” You will need a clear view of the sky to connect, and downloading the Starlink app for iOS and Android allows you to easily set it up.
“Try Starlink for RVs for up to 30 days. If not satisfied, return for a full refund of the hardware costs,” says SpaceX.
Starlink for RVs costs $599 USD for hardware ($759 CAD), $50 USD shipping and handling ($65 CAD), plus taxes. Monthly service costs are $135 USD ($170 CAD).
SpaceX recently announced the expansion of Starlink beyond homes and into airplanes, with deals inked with JSX and Hawaiian Airlines for inflight Wi-Fi.
Earlier this month, Starlink debuted a new Portability feature, allowing users to pay extra per month to use the satellite internet outside their home address for the first time.
