
Tesla announced on Monday evening the date of its 2022 annual shareholder meeting, set to take place on Thursday, August 4.
The company says the shareholder meeting will take place at its headquarters in Austin at Giga Texas.
“Thank you for your support of Tesla!”, said the company on Monday. It’s unclear if the company will allow shareholders to attend the meeting in person, but we’ll likely find out details closer to the date.
Earlier today, Tesla said in a filing with the SEC it would delay its 2022 proxy statement, which would presumably include details on its upcoming stock split for shareholders to vote on.
On March 28, Tesla announced it would ask shareholders to vote on authorizing a stock split at this year’s annual meeting.
Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting last year took place on October 7, 2021, a virtual-only event at Giga Texas. You can watch it below:
