Single-Motor Polestar 2 Deliveries Starting This Week in the U.S.
The long-range, single-motor variant of the Polestar 2 is set to hit U.S. markets beginning this week, according to The Verge.
While it was previously only available for preorder in the U.S., the single-motor Polestar 2 can now be test driven at one of Polestar’s retail locations or it can be purchased with delivery coming soon.
The single-motor Polestar 2 variant starts at $45,900, while the dual-motor version begins at $51,200.
After incentives from the federal government and some individual states, Polestar says the EV can cost as little as $33,400.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the long-range, single-motor Polestar 2 has about 270 miles of range, featuring the same 78-kWh battery pack as the dual-motor variant, with 231 horsepower for the front wheels.
The Polestar 2’s single-motor version can also accept 150 kWh of DC fast charging, which means it can charge to 80 percent in roughly 40 minutes.
Currently, Polestar offers the hybrid coupe Polestar 1 and the Polestar 2, though the automaker’s lineup is set to grow with the Polestar 3 SUV in 2022, the Polestar 4 compact SUV in 2023, and the Polestar 5 Precept sports sedan in 2024.
In addition, the automaker unveiled a concept for the roadster-style Polestar O2, which includes a cinematic drone that can be activated from the car.
