Incredible SpaceX Falcon 9 Stage Separation Captured by Ground Cameras [VIDEO]
SpaceX successfully launched the Italian COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM2 mission to low Earth orbit on Monday, after facing numerous delays due to weather and yesterday’s interruption at the last minute due to a cruise ship.
Falcon 9 launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida today at 3:11pm PT/6:11pm ET.
The first stage of Falcon 9 made a spectacular landing on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at sunset, a beautiful sight. But prior to that, we saw some incredible footage capture by ground cameras, showing the first stage separation from an angle rarely seen before:

SpaceX CEO reacted to the video by saying, “16 story tall rocket, traveling several times faster than a bullet, backflips & fires engines to return to launch site.”
