Adding to its current lineup of impressive electric vehicles (EVs), Porsche has revealed a new Taycan model that offers something special to U.S. buyers.
Porsche shared the 2022 Porsche Taycan GTS and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo on Tuesday, just ahead of this year’s L.A. Auto Show, according to CNET.
The Porsche Taycan GTS features a starting price of $132,750 USD, with the GTS Sport Turismo starting at a price of $134,650 USD.
Customers can begin ordering both the Porsche Taycan GTS and GTS Sport Turismo immediately, with deliveries expected to take place in 2022’s second quarter.
While Porsche’s Sport Turismo models feature a low-bodied station wagon-like design and are available in countries around the world, the company’s Taycan GTS Sport Turismo will be the only Sport Turismo station wagon-like vehicle from Porsche available in U.S. markets.
The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo produces 590 horsepower with two permanent-magnet electric motors, including launch control. It falls between Porsche’s Taycan 4S, which offers 462 horsepower, and the Taycan Turbo, which boasts an impressive 670 horsepower.
On its interior, the GTS features suede seats and trim, with a standard glass roof that can be upgraded to an electrochromic roof with modifiable opacity.
In September, Porsche reported huge demand for available models of the Porsche Taycan with many customers seeing wait times of up to six months.
