Elon Musk’s Twitter Poll Asks if He Should Sell 10% of His Stock

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has asked his 62.5 million Twitter followers on Saturday if he should sell 10% of his stock.

“I will abide by the results of this poll, whichever way it goes,” explained Musk.

Musk is one of the richest people on the planet with his wealth tied to Tesla stock, which is currently at an all-time high. The White House is proposing a tax on the wealthy like Musk to help pay for the government’s social and climate change plans.

As of June 30, Musk owns 170.5 million Tesla shares and selling 10% would result in nearly $21 billion for the CEO, as of Friday’s closing of $1,222.09 per share, reports Reuters.
