Tesla 2021.40 Software Update: Release Notes, What’s New
Tesla started rolling out its 2021.40 software update on Monday, as noted by @Teslascope.

This update includes the following updates, according to information shared by @greentheonly:
- Cold Weather Improvements
- Tidal
- Traffic-Aware Cruise Control Chime
- New Language Support
According to @greentheonly, the cold weather improvements now let you enable the front defrost, while keeping your climate settings.
For the Model S and Model X refresh, activate noise reduction is now available, while these owners can also lock their rear seat display by going to Controls > Display > Lock Rear Display.
The new software update also brings a Traffic-Aware Cruise Control Chime, which reads, “you will now receive an audio alert when TACC is enabled. To disable, tap Controls > Autopilot > Traffic-Aware Cruise Control Chime,” details the 2021.40 release notes shared by @greentheonly.

The 2021.40 update also brings Tidal music streaming, while those in Macao get Spotify.
For those in the UK, British English is now available for Voice Navigation.
