First Lucid Air Customer Deliveries Confirmed for October 30
Following Lucid Motors event invites sent to Lucid Air Dream Edition reservation holders yesterday, the company has now publicly confirmed its plans to deliver its first units as soon as this week.
Lucid Motors confirmed on Wednesday its plans to deliver the first Lucid Air Dream Edition units on October 30, said the company in an email to Tesla North.
The first deliveries will take place at a Dream Delivery event in Newark, California, and will feature an inaugural Lucid Rally for drivers to take a route showcasing performance, as hosted by the company’s leadership.
The Lucid Air Dream edition model comes with a special 118kWh variant of the long-range battery pack from Lucid, and offers 520 miles of range per the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with about 4.4 miles per kWh used of the battery.

The Lucid Motors Dream Edition is the first electric vehicle (EV) with over 500 miles of range, putting some pressure on Tesla’s current lineup. The Lucid Air Dream Edition has also received some glowing reviews, which one publication said “should make Tesla sweat.”
CEO and CTO of Lucid Group Peter Rawlinson said in an issued statement to Tesla North, “Creating the Lucid Air has truly been a labor of love, with customer deliveries representing the culmination of years of endeavor from the entire Lucid team.”
Rawlinson continued, “So I’m truly excited to hand the keys to our first dear customers and accompany them on an inaugural drive through the iconic California countryside.”
Lucid will deliver 520 Lucid Air Dream Editions, followed by deliveries of its Grand Touring models. Touring and Pure Lucid Air variants will make their first deliveries in 2022.
The limited-run Dream Edition features a 118kWh battery pack and delivers up to 1,111 horsepower or 520 miles of range, says Lucid Motors.
