Tesla Model 3, Model Y ‘Air Suspension’ Images Found in Firmware
According to developer @greentheonly, they have discovered images within Tesla’s latest firmware depicting the company’s Model 3 sedan and Model Y compact crossover SUV with what appears to be air suspension of sorts.
Images shared by @greentheonly show multiple configurations of the Model 3 and Model Y with air suspension layouts, similar to images found on the Model X and Model X, with both have adjustable air suspension.
“Interesting images surfaced in firmware that seem to portray air suspension on model 3 and Y (for UI display purposes)”, said @greentheonly.
“What’s weird is model S/X has exactly the same pictures only the “ghost” car changes shape, so I am not yet sure what to make out of this,” added the developer.

For comparison, here are Model X images with air suspension, which let owners change the ride quality of their vehicles within settings:
It’s unclear why these Model 3 and Model Y images with air suspension were included in Tesla’s latest firmware, but from the looks of it, future builds of the company’s most popular electric vehicles may get some sort of suspension upgrades, it appears. It’s still too early to conclude this, but the images above do look somewhat convincing, if we’re going on previous images based on the Model S and Model X.
In the past 24 hours, Tesla raised the price of its Model 3 and Model Y, by up to $2,000 in the United States.
