Tesla has expanded the availability of its illuminated door sills for the Model 3 and Model Y, as they are now available to purchase online in Canada and the USA.
“Add a premium touch to your Tesla by accentuating your vehicle’s model name with Model 3 Illuminated Door Sills. This elegant addition requires no additional wiring to your vehicle’s electrical system. Each sill is activated by a magnetic switch and powered by a long-lasting battery with LEDs for seamless installation,” explains Tesla.

The doors sills are available for Model 3 in silver or black for $250 USD. Model Y illuminated door sills are available only in black, for the same price of $250 USD. Both sell for $320 CAD in Canada. They do look really nice, but that comes at a price.
Previously, the illuminated door sills for Model 3/Y launched in Europe first earlier this summer. Tesla also offers the same illuminated door sills kit for the Model S (2012-2020 models), priced also at $250 USD.
