
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on Thursday afternoon he is offering up $100 million dollars, towards the prize “for best carbon capture technology.”
Musk added he would add “details next week” and as per the donation amount, it would be his largest philanthropic effort we’ve seen.
Carbon capture technologies aim to remove excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, simply put. Check out the video below to get a better sense of the idea:
