Tesla has launched a Model Y Rear Liftgate Sunshade in its online shop for $80 USD.
“Constructed of lightweight mesh fabric with a collapsible rigid frame, the rear sunshade blocks two thirds of solar thermal load without compromising rearward visibility. Easily removable, the sunshade is installed onto the interior of the rear hatch window. When removed, the shade collapses and stores in a 16-inch diameter pouch,” says Tesla’s website.

If you live in a hot climate, these look to be a must for the contents of your trunk to help reduce heat.
The sunshade can also offer some privacy for the contents of your trunk, but not by much it appears. We may have to wait for third party accessory makers to come up with a better idea if you want a full black out for your Model Y trunk.
