SpaceX Falcon 9 Launches 60 More Starlink Satellites into Orbit, Now 955 Total [VIDEO]

SpaceX successfully launched 60 more Starlink satellites into space today aboard the Falcon 9 tonight.
The 9:13pm EST lift off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 40 in Florida marked the 16th batch of Starlink satellites sent into space.

The Falcon 9 booster also successfully landed itself, still a remarkable sight to see. Tonight’s launch was delayed twice because of unfavorable recovery weather at sea for the Falcon 9 booster.

But tonight made history as the 19-story high Falcon 9 was able to launch and land for the seventh time onto the drone ship named Of Course I Still Love You.

With tonight’s launch of 60 more Starlink satellites, the total number now is at 955, since the first launch from May 2019. These satellites will space themselves out over the next few days and weeks with an onboard ion thruster, powered by a solar array.
Starlink’s “Better than Nothing beta program” for internet is currently available in select states in the U.S., plus southern parts of Canada.
