Apartment-dwelling Tesla owners will soon experience the wonders of overnight and affordable charging, thanks to new additions to Tesla’s offered feature list.
Tesla has updated its website to share that automatic payment options for those who live in apartments and condos will soon become available, as reported by electrek. The company has shared with property owners that they soon will be able to accept payment from customers for charging. Coupled with the opportunity for automatic payments, apartment and condo dwellers may soon see some of the benefits of home-charging their Teslas, just like homeowners with the right hardware currently do.
In the past, it was often difficult to convince property managers and other land-owning authorities to install chargers in their space, as there was no way to streamline or manage payment for property owners. This addition will open up opportunities for property owners to be able to manage charging stations more easily and effectively, while collecting charging payment options from tenants.

With the feature, Tesla will have its own interface to manage charging, payments, and scheduling for apartment managers.
Tesla has already shared a form for property managers to apply for the opportunity to charge and collect payment at their apartment and condo properties. While it isn’t clear yet when the service is expected to release, the news is exciting and is sure to benefit many who live in apartments and condos.
