The State of California has launched the new Clean Fuel Reward rebate, which starts today, November 17, 2020. The new rebate will save $1,500 off your Tesla purchase, as detailed in an email to customers today by the electric vehicle maker.
“There is a new benefit for purchasing a new Tesla if you have not taken delivery as of today,” reads Tesla’s email (via Reddit).
“We are very excited to announce that effective 11/17/2020, the state of California is releasing a state-wide “Clean Fuel Reward” (CFR) instant rebate of $1,500 for all NEW-titled Tesla’s registering and delivering in the state,” explains the email.
“This incentive will be applied at the time of delivery, thereby making getting into a Tesla, $1,500 cheaper for our California customers!”, details Tesla.
Tesla says no action is required for new customers. “Just before you take delivery, there will be an additional document in your MyTesla account to e-sign. Instructions will follow from our delivery team. Enjoy!”, concludes the email.
My, oh my. This is a sweet deal for new Tesla customers in California. The added instant rebate could equate to a discount towards any upgrades you might be purchasing, such as Full Self-Driving or even speed boosts.
