Watch Tesla’s Latest Ad ‘Discover: Charging on the Road’ [VIDEO]

Tesla’s presence as a company is quickly becoming mainstream, and its electric vehicles (EV) are the standard in the zero-emission auto world. A decade ago in California (growing up in Fremont, no less!), one would be amazed to see a single Tesla on the road in their daily commute.

Now, anywhere you go in the United States, you’re bound to encounter a handful of these sleek EVs.

On Thursday, Tesla released a new promotional video on its YouTube channel, sharing the ease of access to its growing network of Superchargers, as found through navigation on its infotainment system.

While the video isn’t filled with new announcements or features, it does showcase one of the more exciting features accessed from its media ecosystem – the ability to navigate to a specific destination and automatically detect charging stations or other amenities along the way.

While the charging infrastructure still has a long way to go in North America, and much further still in some countries around the world, recent and ongoing improvements have added a slew of Superchargers around the world. Still, Tesla and the state of California have a lot of work to do if they plan to reach the state’s goal of banning new gas car sales by 2035.

At the moment, Tesla has factories in progress or completely built on three separate continents. With its newly-completed Gigafactory Shanghai, its soon-to-be-complete Gigafactory Berlin, and ongoing operations in multiple places in the United States, the EV company is set to deliver its products throughout the world – a much different reality than the company faced a decade ago.
