Pride Group Enterprises Reserves 150 Tesla Semi Trucks
Despite past critiques of the Tesla Semi, the progress of electric vehicle (EV) batteries has debunked some of those critiques, orders already reflecting this. And now, a new order for Tesla’s all-electric Semi has just been announced.
On Wednesday, Pride Group Enterprises (PGE) announced that it would be reserving 150 Tesla electric semi-trucks, with the future option to increase that quantity to 500. PGE CEO, Sam Johal, has stated that the company has now placed a deposit to secure the initial 150 units from Tesla.
Johal said, “Pride Group Enterprises’ vision is to invest in facilities that will support charging, full-service maintenance and a consistent supply of electric trucks on North American highways.” He continued, “We have first-hand knowledge of the transportation industry across multiple verticals and we (PGE) strongly believe that electric truck technology will overcome many challenges facing traditional diesel technology such as the related maintenance and associated downtime.”

PGE is also reportedly beginning to invest in charging infrastructure needs now so they will be filled by the time these semis are delivered. The company, which is located throughout the US and Canada, is privately held and has 12 locations spread across North America.
Now, as Tesla’s Semis continue to sell to major businesses and corporations who normally produce significant emissions through extensive travel, PGE is set to use Tesla semis to cut these emissions almost entirely – considered a major benefit to companies utilizing mass shipping and, ultimately, to the future of our world.
