A recent Tesla Solar Roof install by Weddle and Sons Roofing was documented in a timelapse video. The installation took place in Topeka Kansas and lasted four days.
The roofing company explains, “this condensed version of our time lapse covers 4 days of installing the PV tiles, glass tiles, and flashings. Tear-off of the existing roof and dry-in with double-layer Firestone underlayment took place in a single additional day, the Friday before this time lapse starts.”
The video was shared by Tesla’s official Twitter account, saying “There’s no place like home..especially if it has a Solar Roof. This Kansas ranch got theirs installed in 4 days.”
In a hilarious note, the YouTube channel also noted, “this is a condensed version of a longer time-lapse available on our YouTube channel and is adapted for all you twitter users with short attention spans.” Ouch.
