We’ve seen Tesla’s Model X being used by SpaceX to transport astronauts, but there’s also a Model 3 being used for Emergency Operations.

According to the Tesla Oracle, a white Tesla Model 3 with a SpaceX Logo and “Emergency Operations” written on the side was seen cruising around the Boca Chica launch site. It was first reported by SpaceX enthusiast Mary (@bocachicagirl on Twitter), a frequent observer of the facility.

The Model 3 was also seen twice recently – once at a recruitment event put on by SpaceX earlier in the year at the Boca Chica office in Texas and the other in the background of a video feed from the Starship SN2 tank return.

Collaboration between SpaceX and Tesla should come as no surprise, seeing as the companies are both operated by entrepreneur Elon Musk. Two Tesla Model X SUVs were also seen escorting NASA astronauts to the recent SpaceX Demo-2 mission, in another example of Tesla vehicles for SpaceX.

The electric vehicle (EV) company is also the primary EV company on the market right now, even as many more EVs are set to release in the remainder of 2020 and into 2021.
